Library on Reels Competition Postponed
Why the Postponement?
The concept of "Library Reels" is new for LIS professionals. Initially, many believed it was intended for librarians to create reels of their libraries. However, as clarified in our second promotional poster, this competition is for librarians to engage their students in creating library reels. Many librarians have requested a postponement to allow them to fully participate and involve their students.

New Deadline: December 31, 2024
LIS Academy, in collaboration with South Asian University, New Delhi, will host the “Global Library Summit” at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), Janpath, New Delhi, from February 5-7, 2025. Postponing the competition will allow us to promote it further, ensuring it reaches libraries across the country. The prizes for the winners will be awarded in the Inaugural Function of the Global Library Summit at New Delhi on 5th February 2025.

Benefits of the Competition
This competition allows librarians to encourage their stakeholders to create multiple reels showcasing different aspects of their library. This approach will enhance the library's visibility and highlight its activities to a broader audience.

Tips for Creating Reels
Instead of capturing all library activities in one reel, we suggest focusing on specific best practices. Allocate these themes to different students or stakeholders, enabling them to create individual reels that can be submitted for the competition. Afterward, you can compile the reels into a single video for your library’s website.
